Sturgeon Bay Wins 23rd Straight Math Championship


The Packerland Conference just had its 5th and final math meet for the season at Southern Door High School, and it was announced that the Sturgeon Bay math team has won its 23rd consecutive Packerland championship.
The final varsity standings for 2024 are:
Sturgeon Bay(Undefeated) – 100
Kewaunee – 85
Sevastopol – 82
Southern Door – 73
N.E.W. Lutheran – 58
Algoma – 46
Oconto – 46

For the final junior varsity standings:
Sturgeon Bay Team 2
Sturgeon Bay Team 3
Kewaunee Team 2

In regards to the All Conference Medals, for the seniors, Southern Door’s James Zittlow came in 1st place, and Sturgeon Bay’s Ben Stephens ranked 2nd. For the juniors, Sturgeon Bay’s Luke Selle and Tre Wienke came in 1st and 2nd. With the sophomores, Southern Door’s Grant Pieschek came in 1st place, and Sturgeon Bay’s Keira Wesley ranked 2nd. Then for the freshmen, Sturgeon Bay’s Calvin Langfeldt ranked first place while Sevastopol’s Luke Filar came in 2nd place.
