Baird’s Mary Ellen Stanek to receive lifetime achievement award from Museum of American Finance

At its annual gala event, to be held tonight, The Museum of American Finance in New York will honor the achievements of three financial leaders, including Mary Ellen Stanek of Milwaukee-based Baird, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Stanek is the founder and chief investment officer emeritus of Baird Advisors and president of Baird Funds.

She will be introduced at the Museum of American Finance gala by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, former Milwaukee archbishop.

In her role with Baird, Stanek oversees more than $175 billion in assets under management. She has more than 47 years of investment experience and earned her chartered financial analyst designation in 1983.

Prior to founding Baird Advisors, she was president and chief executive officer of Firstar Investment Research and Management Company (FIRMCO) and was director of fixed income.
