Delavan-based Millennium, a national distributor of fiber optic network materials, announced Wednesday that Christian Wiltrout has been named the new chief executive officer of the company, effective June 15.

Millennium was founded in 2004 by James Kyle, who will continue to serve the company as an executive board member.

“Christian has the experience and skills we need to evolve Millennium, and he understands that people and relationships are at our core,” Kyle said. “Christian is the right person to take the business forward. I am genuinely excited about what lies ahead for Millennium and could not be more energized to support Christian and our team as we pursue the next chapter of growth together.”

Under Kyle’s leadership, Millennium has been named to the Inc. 5000 list numerous times, recognizing it as one of the fastest-growing privately owned business in the country.

Wiltrout currently serves as global chief operating officer and president of Elgin, Illinois-based SureWerx, and has been with the company since 2019. Prior to that he was president Americas for Optimas Solutions, based in the Chicago area.
