Grand Rapids, Michigan-based retailer Meijer has purchased the CNH Industrial west campus property at 5729 Washington Ave. for $9.1 million, according to state records.
The 23.8-acre site has a 127,378-square-foot single story building, built in 1970.
CNH Industrial America, a subsidiary of United Kingdom-based CNH, a manufacturer of farming and construction equipment, sold the property to Meijer.
Meijer owns and operates more than 500 big box grocery and general merchandise stores in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Wisconsin, including stores in Waukesha, Oak Creek, Greenfield, Wauwatosa and Sussex.
Meijer supercenter stores are typically 160,000 to 200,000 square feet in size.
Racine County Eye first reported last year that Meijer planned to build a store at the 5729 Washington Ave. site.
