College of Lake County – Successful College Achieves Online Success with New Website
Since opening in 1969, the College of Lake County has been dedicated to student success, with over 400,000 students benefiting from its academic options, affordable tuition, five convenient locations, and supportive faculty. The campuses and community provide inspiration and motivation for students to achieve their goals.
The College of Lake County came to website agency Americaneagle.com in need of a complete redesign that would match its new branding as well as the implementation of an easy to use content management platform that would allow staff to quickly make content changes to any section of the website. Americaneagle.com redesigned and implemented the Sitefinity platform for the College of Lake County to enhance its digital presence. The project focused on technical development based on previous scoping and UX designs. The goals included increasing enrollment and retention, reducing complexity, improving accessibility, and enabling faculty and staff to better support students’ goals.
The redesign included creating custom features like a Course Catalog, Class Search, and Program Finder, which needed to be integrated with multiple systems including PeopleSoft, Hawksearch, Lightcast, and 25Live. Americaneagle.com created a site that matched the college’s new branding and look and feel of its internal portal as well. The new website gives users a great online experience and has helped the College of Lake County achieve many of its goals.
