Milwaukee-based medical equipment maker MedServe announced this week that president and chairman Matt Cordio will return to the role of CEO.

Alexander Yampolsky, PharmD, who has served as CEO since 2023, has been appointed to the newly created position of chief clinical officer.

The leadership change is aligned with MedServe’s next phase of growth, according to a Thursday announcement from the company. MedServe is seeing increasing demand across health systems, ambulatory surgery centers and other non-acute care environments.

“MedServe has achieved meaningful progress under Alex’s leadership, and I’m excited to work alongside him in this new capacity,” said Cordio. “As we scale our operations and deepen our relationships across the health care market, this structure allows us to fully leverage both our clinical expertise and operational excellence. Alex’s transition to chief clinical officer ensures we remain anchored in clinical value and outcomes, while I focus on advancing commercial strategy, organizational growth, and market expansion.”

Cordio led the group that acquired MedServe in 2021 and has previously served as CEO.

In his new role as chief clinical officer, Yampolsky will lead clinical strategy, product innovation, and evidence-based development to meet the needs of health care providers.
