Sister Bay survived a scare from West Jacksonport to improve to 7-0 in DCL play Sunday. The Ports took a 2-0 advantage into the 6th when Sister Bay tied the ball game. The score would remain tied until the 11th inning when winning pitcher Sam Forkert hit a walk off RBI single to give the Bays a 3-2 win. Spencer Krause had two hits for Sister Bay.
Egg Harbor beat Baileys Harbor 10-8. The back & forth game featured 17 walks and several costly errors. Anthony Jennerjohn had three hits for Egg Harbor. Corey Fuller & Eric Dejardine had two hits each. Chris Lodl, River Pawelski, & Elvis Torres all had two hits each for Baileys Harbor, Lodl had 4 runs batted in.
Washington Island shut out Institute 16-0. The Islanders blew the game open with nine runs in the 3rd inning. Caleb Cornell, Troy Jorgenson, Ryan Jorgenson, & Luke Geiger all had two hits each for the Islanders. Geiger had a grand slam & 6 RBI.
Maplewood at Kolberg was postponed due to wet field conditions.
