Finalists Announced for Alice in Dairyland


The top 6 final candidates for the position of 77th Alice in Dairyland were announced at a press briefing Friday morning at the Landmark Resort. The finals competition will then be in early May at Sturgeon Bay’s Stone Harbor Resort. Ashley Hagenow, currently the 76th Alice, spoke first about her experience being Alice over the last ten months and then about what lies ahead for the 6 top candidates competing to be her successor…

The Door County Farm Bureau’s Alice in Dairyland Steering Committee Chair Denise Plassmeyer then spoke about the hard work leading up to the finals and the importance of Friday’s announcement…

Then Plassmeyer introduced the 6 top candidates which include Cierra Essock from Fox Lake, Halei Heinzel from Oconomowoc, Katrina Hoesly from Denmark, Michaela King from Big Bend, Kiley Pagel from Kewaunee, and Lauren Siemers from Kiel. After all 6 candidates introduced themselves and shared their individual backgrounds, there was a question & answer session with those in attendance.
That finals competition will be in Sturgeon Bay May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and tickets for those 2 public events will go on sale this Monday at 12 noon.
