This Friday, January 31st, will be the nation-wide premiere for the film “Green & Gold” which was filmed right here in Door County in 2021. The film tells the story of a humble dairy farmer named “Buck,” and his family’s struggle to save their farm in today’s changing economy. “Buck” is played by actor Craig T. Nelson, best known for his star role in the television show “Coach.” In a recent interview with film co-writer and director Anders Lindwall, he says they really enjoyed filming in Door County and the “buzz” generated in the local community…
It has been over three-and-a-half years since they did the actual filming, and film producer, Ander’s brother Davin Lindwall, says it can take a while for a smaller production company like theirs, and there were a few other unanticipated delays…
Having grown up in Iron River, Michigan, the Lindwall brothers were well aware of Door County with some family history here, and Davin says they felt Door County was the best location to make the film…
