Hunter Education Courses Being Offered Soon

Local DNR Conservation Warden Chris Kratcha recently informed us of some upcoming hunter safety education courses being offered in the area. Anyone born on or after January 1st of 1973 must complete a hunter education course and have a hunter education safety certificate on file to purchase any hunting license in Wisconsin. Warden Kratcha shared the news of new course opportunities in northern Door County…

The typical age for younger students to start taking the hunter safety course is around 12 years old. Also, those who complete the course for the first time receive a free small game license including the stamp for the license year through March 31st. There will also be a traditional in-person course offered…

Then, for central or southern Door County, there will also be an upcoming course offered in Sturgeon Bay. Warden Kratcha has the details on that course and the sign-up benefit for local students…

There are currently no hunter safety courses being offered in the near future for Kewaunee County, but Warden Kratcha says that will change soon as more courses are offered. You can monitor the Wisconsin DNR website for more opportunities at dnr.wisconsin.gov
