Kewaunee All Alone Atop Packerland


The Kewaunee girls won at Sevastopol Thursday night, 47-33. The Pioneers scored their first points nearly nine minutes into the game and trailed 15-2 with eight minutes to play in the opening half. The Storm (5-0 Packerland / 9-0 overall) led 26-10 at halftime on their way to taking over the top spot in the Packerland Conference. Brianna Demmin scored 18 points to lead Kewaunee and Braelyn Chevalier added 10 points. Naomi Rikkola finished with a game-high 26 points for Sevastopol (4-1 / 7-2) who had their 20 game conference winning streak come to an end.
