NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisories


The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which will be in effect from 6PM Sunday until 6AM Monday, for Door County.

Snow, heavy at times this evening, then tapering off to freezing drizzle overnight. Total snow accumulations between 3 – 6 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.

While the precipitation will end early Monday morning, road impacts may still occur into the Monday morning commute time.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

 

A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect until 3AM Monday, for the counties of Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Brown.

Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations ranging from a dusting south up to 2 inches north, and ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch.

While the precipitation will end early Monday morning, road impacts may still occur into the Monday morning
commute time.
