Sevastopol Considers Adding New Gymnasium

In a recent conversation with Sevastopol Schools Superintendent Kyle Luedtke, he told us how the 2 gymnasiums for the entire district can be limiting and at times may cause difficult scheduling with all the sporting options and events happening in the district. They are now seeking Sevastopol community members to join a new committee which will look into the option of an auxiliary or 3rd gym. He says those meetings would start in April…

As he shared with us, the sporting events with the older students can tend to get the better time slots with the current two gyms, so the younger students can sometimes get awkward scheduling for their events…

With the most recent reconstruction project which built new sections onto the school, some may wonder why this 3rd gym wasn’t included in that project. Superintendent Luedtke explains why this project was put on hold until now…

Brey Architects will be addressing the Sevastopol School Board meeting on Wednesday, March 20th with their ideas for a possible auxiliary gym. If you are interested in joining that committee to look into a new 3rd gym, you should contact Superintendent Kyle Luedtke, and that first committee meeting will be in April.
