Winter Weather Advisory In Effect, Storm Watch Issued

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which is in effect until 1pm Friday, for the counties of Door and southern Oconto.

Total snow accumulations of 2 – 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45MPH.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing and drifting snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Storm Watch, which will be in effect from 7PM Saturday until 4PM Monday, for the counties of Door and southern Oconto.

Total snow accumulations of 12 – 18 inches with localized totals in excess of 24 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45MPH.

The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Whiteout and near blizzard conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
