Racine-based manufacturer Modine has named Art Laszlo as president of its newly created data centers sector.

Laszlo will oversee growth and profitability in Modine’s data centers business, formerly part of the climate solutions sector, further strengthening its position as a provider of cooling solutions to global data center operators, according to a press release.

Laszlo most recent served as group vice president of global data centers for the company, a position he held since September 2024, and before that was vice president/general manager of the company’s liquid cooled applications. Before joining Modine in 2022, he served as president of advanced flow solutions at IDEX and held leadership positions at General Electric, Brunswick Corp., Mars Inc. and General Motors.

“I am thrilled to announce (Laszlo’s) promotion to this critical leadership role,” said Neil Brinker, president and chief executive officer of Modine. “Art’s proven leadership and deep focus on providing critical cooling solutions make him the ideal choice to lead this new segment. The creation of the global Data Centers segment is a testament to the significant growth and opportunities we see in this market, and I am confident that under (Laszlo’s) guidance, we will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

Leveraging acquisitions and divestitures, Modine has shifted its focus over the past decade to the growing data center market. These efforts have led the company to project an increase in its annual data center revenue to $2 billion by fiscal 2028.

The company is also in the process of spinning off its performance technologies business and combining it with Novi, Michigan-based company Gentherm in what will likely be one of the biggest deals of the year in Wisconsin. The Reverse Morris Trust transaction, valued at $1 billion, will allow the company to focus on its high-growth data center and commercial HVAC and refrigeration markets.
