Sturtevant-based World Pac International USA, Inc. plans to occupy the 40,000-square-foot former LakeView Technology Academy building at 9449 88th Ave. in Pleasant Prairie, according to plans submitted to the village.

The company, which operates a food-packing material related manufacturing and distribution facility specializing in artificial meat casings and packaging products, plans to relocate to the Pleasant Prairie facility, according to director of community development, village zoning administrator and village planner Robert Hanson.
A representative for World Pac International could not immediately be reached for comment. The company’s Sturtevant facility is located at 7900 Durand Ave.
World Pac plans to move into the Pleasant Prairie facility in August, and plans to have 26 employees at the facility.
Early last year, LakeView Technology Academy opened a new 48,602-square-foot facility at 5533 26th Ave. in the Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood.
