IMPACT Inc. has named Lindsay Blumer as its new president and CEO, succeeding John Hyatt, who retired after a 32-year career with the southeastern Wisconsin nonprofit, including the past decade as its chief executive.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Blumer joins IMPACT after serving as president and CEO of WRTP/BIG STEP, a Milwaukee workforce development organization.

Founded to help residents navigate health and human services, IMPACT, which is based in West Allis, serves as a regional resource for people experiencing personal crises and connects individuals and families with services including housing assistance, behavioral health resources and other community support programs. The organization operates the region’s 24/7 2-1-1 helpline and coordinates programs that improve access to housing, behavioral health and other community resources.

Blumer’s appointment follows Hyatt’s retirement, which the organization announced last month in a Facebook post saying Hyatt “led with steady vision, humility and an unwavering commitment to collaboration.”
