Wauwatosa-based property damage remediator and restorer Kelmann Restoration plans to move its headquarters to a facility in Milwaukee.
The move from its current headquarters location at 12001 W. Dearbourn Ave. to a 92,000-square-foot building at 7865 N. 86th St. in Milwaukee will include the relocation of 135 jobs, the addition of at least 10 new jobs and consolidation of all functions of the business. The new space will consolidate the company’s employees from its Kelmann Homes, Badger Remediation and Kelmann Cares Foundation sectors. It will also more than double the company’s existing footprint, which occupies roughly 38,000-square-feet between its Wauwatosa, New Berlin and West Allis locations.
The move stems from Kelmann Restoration’s focus on “improving efficiency, enhancing collaboration and delivering faster, more seamless service to property restoration and remodeling customers across southeastern Wisconsin,” according to a press release from the company.
The company is currently adding 20,000 square feet to the Milwaukee building as well as 200 new parking spaces and infrastructure to support the company’s fleet and daily operations. The project and the move, estimated to cost roughly $6 million, will be completed by fall 2026.

The company said its headquarters relocation is not tied to any number of damaging weather events that took place recently.
“While major weather events like the recent flooding, freezing temperatures this past winter, and the August 2025 storms reinforce the ongoing need for restoration services, the relocation itself is not a reactionary move tied to any single event,” the company said in a statement to BizTimes. “Instead, these events highlight the essential nature of Kelmann’s work and the growing demand for rapid-response restoration services across Wisconsin, reinforcing the company’s commitment to responding efficiently to both everyday incidents and large-scale disasters.”
Founded in 1973, Kelmann Restoration is a family-owned restoration services company specializing in fire, water, and storm damage in southeastern Wisconsin. The company was an honoree of BizTimes’ Future 50 program, recognizing the region’s fastest-growing privately held companies, in 2023.
