Racine-based Johnson Outdoors has appointed Asad Rahman as its chief financial officer and vice president, succeeding David W. Johnson who will retire from the role at the end of the month, according to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
Rahman, who will begin his new role on June 30, previously served as vice president of finance at Virginia-based Mars, Inc., a family-owned pet care, snacking and food products company. Prior to Mars, Rahman served in executive roles at Kellanova, a subsidiary of Mars, and Kellogg, the company from which Kellanova was spun off. He also held a number of leadership roles at S.C. Johnson & Son for nearly 17 years prior to that.
Rahman attended Lyon College for his undergraduate degree, and later the University of Arkansas and Marquette University for master’s of computer science and business administration degrees, respectively.
With his appointment, Rahman will receive a $200,000 stock award as part of the company’s long-term stock incentive plan.
Johnson, who has been with Johnson Outdoors since 2001, will remain with the company through the end of its fiscal year in October. He will serve in a consultative capacity to ensure a smooth transition as Rahman takes the helm.
Johnson Outdoors is a designer and manufacturer of outdoor recreational products.
