Stella & Chewy’s products to be available at Publix stores

Oak Creek-based pet food manufacturer Stella & Chewy’s announced Tuesday that its products will be available at Publix stores starting this month.

Lakeland, Florida-based Publix operates throughout the Southeast. As a result of the deal, Stella & Chewy’s products will be available at the more than 1,400 Publix supermarket stores, which are located in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.

“Today’s pet parents want real, natural nutrition,” said Dave Champlin, chief sales officer of Stella & Chewy’s. “Our entrance into Publix marks another significant step in bringing freeze-dried raw pet food into more new households — helping more pet parents discover the benefits of raw nutrition and elevating the pet category. We are thrilled to be offering our product with one of the nation’s premier grocery retailers.”

Stella & Chewy’s has announced several deals this year for its products to be available at major retailers including PetSmart, Target and Meijer.

Three years ago, Stella & Chewy’s struck a deal with San Diego-based Petco that allowed Petco to begin carrying the company’s products nationwide.

Stella & Chewy’s was founded in 2003 by Muskego native Marie Moody. The company has continued to grow in recent years, announcing its first national marketing campaign in 2022.
